Mark (aka Dr. Popeney) is a music educator, currently serving as a Professor of Music and Performing Arts Department chairperson at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston.

Mark's primary specialization is music composition, songwriting, and music theory, but he also teaches music technology and leads a campus ensemble.

​

Having designed and led Greater Boston's premiere associate's program in music, Mark is an expert in undergraduate curriculum and assessment in particular.
